The 2008 Application Process is Now Closed

The Advances in Psoriasis Research Grant Programme was established by Wyeth to encourage and support a greater understanding of the inflammatory pathogenesis of psoriasis and TNF-related skin disorders.

The programme offered six researchers the opportunity to receive a EURO 100,000 grant, to support a high-quality, innovative research project investigating the inflammatory pathogenesis of psoriasis and TNF-related skin disorders.

Submissions were judged by an expert panel of international leaders in dermatology based on the innovative nature of the proposed project and robust scientific rationale. The grants were awarded to applicants that the expert panel felt would increase the understanding of psoriasis and related disorders. Researchers resident in Europe, the Middle East or Africa could submit a lab-based or clinical study that was feasible within the budget and time-frame, and compliant with local, national and GCP/GLP guidelines.

Six EURO 100,000 grants have been provided, with payments awarded in stages. 60% will be awarded at the project start in 2008, 30% in 2009 and 10% on study report.

The programme was launched on 29 October 2007 to mark World Psoriasis Day 2007, for which Wyeth is a key sponsor. The closing date for applications was 29 February 2008 and successful applicants were notified in July 2008.
